Grow Your Nursing Career

The demand for practical knowledge and skills in the clinical setting provided by acute care nurse practitioners is growing. Our students graduate with the skills to effectively and competently stabilize acutely-ill patients, formulate diagnoses and evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe therapeutics, assess outcomes, prevent readmission and create safe discharge plans. Designed for the certified nurse practitioner or a master’s-prepared nurse with significant acute or critical care experience, our post-master’s certification will prepare you to sit for either the AACN or ANCC certification exam.

UNH students learn from full-time faculty and industry experts in our nursing department, ranked by the 2020 Nursing School Almanac as #10 out of the 60 best nursing schools in New England.
