The M.S. in bioinformatics is a 30-credit non-thesis professional master's program focused on providing advanced training, primarily in the areas of computational biology, genomics and genetics with emphasis on skills that will prepare students to address the growing workforce and educational needs of the life science industries (including biotechnology, health science, environmental and agricultural sectors). The M.S. in bioinformatics provides continuing and accessible graduate-level education for individuals from broad socioeconomic backgrounds currently in the workforce, as well as for undergraduate students seeking to gain enhanced knowledge and specialized skills prior to entering the workforce.
